The Kendrion Locking Solenoids are electromagnetic locking units specially designed for use in safety devices of machines and all kinds of automation mechanisms. With these solenoids special attention has been paid to compact design, universal mounting options and integrated feedback of the locking function. The requirements of the accident prevention regulations are reliably fulfilled. Solenoid armatures and locking bolts are led separately in maintenance free bearings with high resistance to wear. In order to avoid stray magnetic fields on the object to be locked the locking bolt is manufactured out of non-corrosive and non-magnetic stainless steel. The micro-switches directly integrated into the aluminum bolt housing signal the respective position of the locking bolt at the stroke starting position resp. before reaching the stroke end position. The locking, i.e. the sliding of the locking bolt into the locking position, is achieved by an integrated spring. The unlocking, i.e. the retraction of the locking bolt, is accomplished by electromagnetic force. Two functions are distinguished: locking or unlocking without voltage. The magnetic forces indicated are reached at 90% of the nominal voltage and in warmed-up condition. The values for the duty cycles apply for nominal voltage, warmed-up condition and load with 70% of the magnetic force of the device. The products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.
